L A B O R A T O R Y

The “Diagnosi Pre-Postnatale Malattie Metaboliche” Laboratory is situated at “Giannina Gaslini” Institute.
The laboratory was set up in 1971 providing diagnostic service for lysosomal diseases. From 1976 the diagnostic activity branched out into the prenatal period and the banking of collections started by cryopreservation of cell lines derived from patients affected by rare genetic diseases. To date, the laboratory is engaged in both diagnostic and research activities.
